This Freight Quotation ("the Quote") for shipments specified herein is subject to the terms and conditions of Boat Importers Bill of Lading and/or Sea Waybill, whichever is applicable and the shipping line’s published Tariff Rules. CAF/BAF/EFAF and local freight charges are subject to change with or without prior notice and are applicable at time of shipment. Local charges shall be prepaid. The quote is subject to space and equipment availability and cargo approval by Boat Importers P/L. This is also subject to the Single Voyage Permit (SVP) pertaining to the rules and regulations stipulated by DOTARS in the carriage of Australian Coastal cargo.
The quote is subject to 10% Goods and Service Taxes and other local taxes and duties where applicable. All additional services, beyond standard cargo booking/receiving services will be subject to additional service fees, which are not included in this quote. These additional services include but are not limited to, ECN application/amendments, Advance manifest lodgement/amendment, bill of lading amendments, late receivals, document delivery, assistance in compilation of ERA's/FI's etc. Current rates for additional services will be advised by your agent at time of request and shall be on a prepaid basis.
Cargo is to be presented for shipment in a condition free of any oil, soil, dust, grease. This includes all surfaces both internal and external(e.g. boats, machinery, ladders, tyres, wheel arches etc). Should the cargo be received in a dirty/contaminated condition, the shipping line has the right not to accept cargo for loading until cleaning has taken place which is at the cost and responsibility of the cargo owner. This quote does not include Marine/Cargo Insurance.
All rates unless otherwise specified are stated in US Dollars and are per Weight of 1,000 Kilos or measurement 1 tonne of 1 Cubic Metre, whichever is greater. Whenever freight charges are assessed on a revenue ton (RT) basis, the freight will be calculated on the weight or measurement of the individual packages, whichever is greater.
All cargo must be marked with the following: Vessel/Voyage, Port of Load/Port of Discharge (including. any transhipment port), Consignee, Length, Width, Height & Weight, Center of gravity(when applicable), Cargo ID and the Booking number.
This quote is offered on dimensions supplied. If the cargo dimensions change or outturn is different, then this Quote is no longer valid. Correct dimensions are imperative to ensure space availability on the nominated vessel. If dimensions outturn differs from what appears on the quotation and/or the booking, cargo may have to be left behind at shipping line’s sole discretion.
Break-Bulk cargo must be presented in a forkliftable manner or in a state ready to carry out a safe crane lift. The individually items must also be adequately packed for ocean transportation. Proper glutting, certified lifting points and the centre of gravity shall be clearly marked on all individual break bulk items. All associated crane cost will be for the account of cargo interest. The shipping line and the stevedores and terminal operators nominated to handle the cargo reserves the right not to handle the cargo if deemed as unsafe. If the cargo is presented to the wharf in a non-forkliftable condition after being quoted at the forkliftable rate, the original ocean rate will no longer be valid. All additional crane cost and ocean freight charges will be for the account of the cargo interest. Cargo must be fully driveable/towable and where possible include an 'Operation Manual Book' which shows how to start, drive/stop the unit. Any cost to facilitate starting,driving or stopping the unit, delays to vessel loading and discharge of other cargo will be borne by the client.
For second hand equipment, please provide after hours emergency contact number. All wood packing material, crates, pallets & dunnage must comply with Quarantine International ISPM 15 regulations and must be free of any bark or the cargo may not be loaded. It is Boat Importers P/L policy that all cargo regardless of destination must comply with this regulation. In addition to the stated Local Charges on this quote, all other applicable local surcharges at either the Port of Load or Port of Discharge are payable direct to the Terminal, Port Authority, Stevedore or Carrier by client.
No personal effects are to be loaded in any cargo. Boat Importers P/L reserves the right to refuse to load any cargo containing personal effects. All Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) are to be shipped under the payment term of ‘Pre-Paid’. This includes but not limited to automobiles and marine craft. Freight Collect terms will not be made available unless otherwise previously authorized by Boat Importers P/L.
